Paula Hoover

Paula’s movement experience began with Dance in her childhood performing with the Young Canadians. She spent decades studying and teaching Contemporary Dance at Victoria Arts Collaborative, Vancouver’s MainDance and Douglas Ballet Academy. She apprenticed with Lee Eisler and Jumpstart Dance Co. performing in local Festivals like Romp and Dancing on the Edge.
As a career instructor she has the ability to communicate precise kinesthetic awareness. Her goal as an instructor is to strive to facilitate natural intelligence and innate wisdom in each individual body. She brings a sense of humor to her work, as well as a presence of mind that allows participants to trust in her guidance and observations.
She holds certifications in Pilates, PD Warrior, Yoga and Thai Massage. She has been trained in Neuro Specific Exercise, Small Ball Release, Rehabilitation of the Lower Back and Urban Pole Walking. Her degrees include a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Victoria and a Bachelors of Recreation Management from Langara College.
She loves culinary arts of all kinds, dogs of all kinds and walking and hiking the local trails.
