We are dedicated to exercise research and education aimed at meeting the needs of our clientele.
We deliver Pilates education and training in traditional small-group environments. Instructors are professionally trained to deliver bio-mechanical understanding of both Classical and Contemporary Methods. Our clinical work includes exercises for neurological conditions, pre/post-surgery and injury, osteopenia/perosis, and auto-immune conditions.

Progressive Pilates specializes in creating tailored programs for individuals and small groups. Joseph Pilates' innovative design of spring-based apparatus provides a distinctive and accessible platform, offering simultaneous support and challenge for movement. At Progressive Pilates, a fundamental aspect of our instruction is the seamless integration of body mechanics with movement.
The synergy established between a deep understanding of body mechanics and the utilization of Pilates apparatus enhances the movement potential for everyone, making it a key focus in our approach.
Mixed Apparatus
Open to indivudals who have successfully completed Pilates Fundamentals through Private or Semi-private training.
Teacher Training
Available for those seeking an in-depth exploration of movement fundamentals through the study of the Contemporary Pilates Method.
Instructors
“Movement for life” is the philosophy at Progressive Pilates North Shore. Our instructors come from diverse movement backgrounds that include Yoga, Dance, Body Rolling, Thai Massage, Reiki and are Certified in Contemporary Stott Technique. We are dedicated to expanding our education and movement expertise annually with ongoing courses and in-person workshops.

Pilates Fundamentals
Pilates Fundamentals are the foundational principles and key concepts that form the basis of the Pilates method. These principles are integral to performing Pilates exercises correctly and effectively.
These fundamentals are essential for practitioners at all levels and are integrated into every Pilates session. Developing an understanding and mastery of these principles contributes to the effectiveness and safety of the Pilates practice.

Our Pilates equipment comes from Peak Pilates. We have four Deluxe Reformer/Tower/Bed systems. We also have four MEv Split Pedal Chairs. Other equipment includes Boxes, Jumpboards and Spine Correctors. The equipment at Progressive Pilates is of the highest quality and is meticulously maintained.
